The Praxis Deck is a 50-card embodiment of Dr. d'bi.young's Anitafrika Method. Created by Dr. d'bi.young anitafrika with images by Chiedza Pasipanodya, the deck is a tactile toolkit to support practitioners as they embark on an introspective journey of decoliberation. As a hands-on, interactive tool, the deck translates the Anitafrika Method into an accessible liberatory learning experience. It serves as a tactile representation of the method, guiding practitioners in re/membering ourselves in a world that fragments us. Encapsulating the Anitafrika Method’s oppression-aware, Black queer transfeminist framework, grounded in the principles of intersectionality, Black feminist thought, and anti-colonial praxis, the deck integrates artistic practice, reflexivity, critical analysis, and spiritual reflection into a cohesive system which articulates all the elements that formulate the framework. Practitioners who study the Anitafrika Method receive the deck as part of their training program toolkit, to be utilised throughout the three stages of the system: 1. Self-Transformation, 2. Creative Expression, and 3. Community Embodiment.
