How do we cultivate self-love? How do we decolonise? How do we ground in integrity? How do we continue to dream? Join me, d’bi.young anitafrika for a Vision Quest in Decolonial Arts. Join me as we teach each other. I teach because I was taught by my mother and by my grandmother and by my elders. I teach because in teaching, I learn. Come learn with me while we rest and laugh and grow.

Curated by d’bi.young anitafrika, the residency was devised to support practitioners through self-transformation, creative growth, and community embodiment, using the Anitafrika Method. It is holistic reintegration of our physiological, spiritual, creative, political and ethical selves.
Stage 1—Self-in-Transformation, supports the practitioner in metabolising past and present experiences of colonial-historical-systemic oppression
Stage 2—Self-in-Creation, guides the practitioner through devising the first draft of a biomyth project catalysed by discoveries from Stage 1
Stage 3—Self-in-Community prepares the practitioner to share their work, engage in Talk-Backs as public dramaturgy and to prepare for their works's next stage of development.
The residency includes 30+ hours of workshops with d’bi.young anitafrika, a residency package, one-month access to Dubbin Praxis: Intro to the Anitafrika Method (living e-workbook) one-month streaming access to pre-recorded private residency lectures by d’bi.young anitafrika, one-month streaming access to The Sankofa Trilogy featuring three biomyth monodramas by d’bi.young anitafrika: Blood.Claat, Benu & Word!
