The Fundraising Gala on June 26, 2018 was one of the most magnificent moments of my life thus far! Thank you for coming out and sharing your time and your love with me! Thank you to all my elders who are my mentors and my mentees who are who are also my mentors. 

We had such an amazing time that I couldn’t resist but have an encore performance! Plus, it is another excuse to party with those that I love before I leave! YOU! My community.

SO – on September 16, 2018 at the Lula Lounge, we will be hosting Encore! A Watah Theatre Concert and Book Launch! After five years of ongoing programming, Watah is shifting into running a year-long playwright residency and co-producing one mainstage production for the upcoming season. We will be announcing the Playwright-in-Residence for the the upcoming 2018-2019 Empires Do Not Fall Quietly Season.

We have an incredible line-up with performances by LAL, D’bi & The 333, DJ Syrus Marcus Ware and more! Hosted by Yusra Khogali

Doors open at 7pm. 7-8pm Art Exhibition w/ DJ Marcus Syrus Ware. 8-8:45pm LAL. 9-10:30pm D’bi & The 333. 10:30-11:15pm DJ Nic Red. 11:15-12 Midnight DJ Marcus Syrus Ware.

Advance tickets are $25 Bon Voyage D’bi Tickets. Tickets will also be available at the door for $30. 

Proceeds from the event will go towards d’bi.young anitafrika’s GoFundMe campaign, helping her further develop the Anitafrika Method at Goldsmiths, University of London, this fall.
