Position: Administrative Associate (3-Month Contract, Potential for Extension)

Location: Online
Contract Term: January 2-March 31, 2024: 3 months, 3hrs per day Monday to Friday
Compensation: $25 per hour 

About the Role
We are seeking an Administrative Associate to work closely with d'bi.young anitafrika on multiple creative portfolios. This part-time contract position is ideal for a highly organized, resourceful individual who excels in administrative functions and is enthusiastic about supporting creative, community-centered initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
As an Administrative Associate, you will:

  • Manage various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations across multiple creative portfolios.

  • Demonstrate high proficiency in navigating Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) for creating and managing documents, spreadsheets, and shared files.

  • Develop and maintain project budgets with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Organize digital filing systems and establish streamlined workflows.

  • Assist with website edits and coordinate with web developers as needed.

  • Edit project documents, proposals, and presentations to ensure clarity and professionalism.

  • Take meeting notes across multiple portfolios and assist in tracking project timelines, deadlines, and progress.

  • Provide administrative support for community engagements, publications, and event logistics.

  • Support grant writing and assist in grant reporting processes.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate is:

  • Proficient in Google Workspace and other projec management tools, with strong skills in creating and managing documents and spreadsheets.

  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple portfolios effectively.

  • Detail-oriented, with strong editing and communication skills.

  • Comfortable with basic website updates and coordinating with external vendors.

  • Experienced in project administration and digital organization, with the ability to support high-level creative work.

  • Experienced in supporting grant writing and funding applications.
