Specifically designed for artists who are unable to participate in a face-to-face program, the new Remote Residency of the Anitafrika Retreat Centre offers artists an opportunity to work with d'bi via telephone and/or video conferencing. Having worked with hundreds of practitioners for the past two decades, who after completing their physical residencies expressed interest in furthering their work with her, d'bi designed the new Remote Residency program consisting of weekly one hour sessions via telephone or video conferencing for a duration of eight, twelve weeks or ongoing. Practitioners can utilize their coaching sessions to get support for grant writing, project development, ceative unblocking, project completion, or day-to-day life coaching, using the Anitafrika Sorplusi Method.
The minimum time commitment is eight weeks. As there are eight principles in the method, d'bi and the artist work through one principle at a time while focusing on the practitioner's creative goal. Sessions are one hour per week and cost $100 per session.
There are three further investments the practitioner makes in order to participate in the residency:
1.Acquire a new notebook specifically for the Remote Residency
2.Acquire a copy of the book 'Comfortable with Uncertainty' by Pema Chodron
3.Purchase the Anitafrika Sorplusi Method Card Deck to be used during the residency. The Deck is half-price ($50) for artists who are enrolled in an Anitafrika Retreat Centre program
