Bleeders: Part 3 of The Orisha Trilogy by d'bi.young anitafrika

Bleeders is the culminating play in d'bi.young anitafrika's Orisha Trilogy. An afro-futuristic dub-opera set in a post-apocalyptic Toronto some years after the explosion of the Pickering Nuclear plant which causes wide-spread infertility in humans; Bleeders centres on gender and the environment. The descendants of the Black Lives Matter movement have created a matriarchy in the mountains led by Oya (goddxss of lightning and defender of womxn) and Ochun (goddxss of love, sexuality and child-birth) when the puppet government begins rounding up Black womxn whom they assume ovulate and bleed, as part of their Human Replenishment Scheme.
